Ätna

A series of photographs taken in Sicily while hiking the volcano Etna. The black volcanic underground impressed me. The contrast to everything growing on the dark soil and other stone formations which reached through the black mass made me rethink common colour classifications to certain objects. These collages are made out of multiple cyanotype prints. In total the series includes three sujets with an edition of five. The elements alternate in colour which makes each one unique.
